Stanozolol, sold under many brand names, is an androgen and anabolic steroid (AAS) derived from dihydrotestosterone (DHT).
Stanozolol is an effective anabolic steroid that is used by bodybuilders to get lean during their cutting cycles. It is also used by athletes to gain power and strength. It is great for stacking because it inhibits SHBG in the body.
In 1962, the US pharmaceutical company Winthrop introduced it in the USA under the tradename Winstrol. Winthrop’s partner, Bayer, sold it in Europe under the name Stromba.
Stanozolol is available as an oil based form, often referred as Winstrol, or in oral form.
Commonly used as performance-enhancing drug, it has been banned for decades from sports competition under the auspices of the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) and many other sporting bodies.
Stanzol is used for physique and performance-enhancing purposes by competitive athletes and bodybuilders.
The most common side effects include virilization (masculinization), hepatotoxicity, and others.
